Water Armor® EZ-Melt C87850 ECO BRONZE®

SKU: EZC87850-10 Category:

ECO Bronze C87850, offered as EZ-MELT granular ingot by Wieland Chase, is a versatile, lead-free alloy widely used in potable water systems, wear-resistant components, marine hardware, and artistic applications such as plaques and sculptures. Copper ~ 75%, Silicon ~ 3%, and Zn around 22%, it is our ideal alloy for art or decorative pieces. Manufactured to meet industry standards (ASTM B30 & AWWA C800), it meets all the specs for handling potable water. One of its key advantages is a significantly lower melting point (1616 oF) compared to other alloys used in similar applications, which, when combined with the efficiency of its granular form, can result in notable savings in melt time and energy consumption. This granular form also allows for precise control over material usage, making it ideal for smaller batches, reducing waste, and usable in hobbyist type furnaces. Known for its excellent fluidity during pouring, C87850 is well-suited for detailed castings. For optimal results, metal temperatures should be kept at or below 2,000°F prior to pouring. Any additional details about the metal are available by contacting Wieland Chase. All material is chemical analyzed to ensure the material is consistent, and always in specification. Certified Chemistry is supplied with every batch of material.
